Army Officer Candidate School Board Dates 2022-2023

The Army Officer Candidate School (OCS) is a rigorous training program that transforms civilians into commissioned officers in the United States Army. OCS candidates undergo a challenging physical and mental regimen to develop the leadership, tactical, and technical skills necessary for success as an officer. The OCS Board is responsible for selecting candidates who possess the potential to excel in this demanding environment.

The OCS Board typically convenes multiple times throughout the year to review applications and select candidates for upcoming classes. The board dates for the 2022-2023 fiscal year are as follows:

Board 1: 19-21 July 2022
Board 2: 23-25 August 2022
Board 3: 11-13 October 2022
Board 4: 8-10 November 2022
Board 5: 10-12 January 2023
Board 6: 21-23 February 2023
Board 7: 7-9 March 2023
Board 8: 4-6 April 2023
Board 9: 16-18 May 2023
Board 10: 25-27 July 2023
Board 11: 22-24 August 2023

Candidates interested in attending OCS should submit their applications well in advance of the board date to ensure sufficient time for processing and review. Applicants are encouraged to contact their local Army recruiter for more information about the OCS application process and to determine which board they should apply for.

The OCS Board is a highly competitive process, and only a limited number of candidates are selected for each class. Candidates who are selected for OCS will attend a 12-week training program at Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon successful completion of OCS, candidates will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army.
