Materials You'll Need:

New upholstery fabric
Upholstery foam
Batting
Staple gun and staples

Tack strip

Step 1: Disassemble the Chair

Start by removing the cushions and any loose parts from the chair. Then, carefully separate the wooden arms from the chair body. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the bolts or screws that hold the arms to the chair.

Step 2: Remove the Old Fabric

Use a staple remover to carefully remove the old fabric from the chair, starting with the seat. Once the seat fabric is removed, remove the fabric from the back and wings.

Step 3: Inspect and Repair the Frame

Once the old fabric is removed, carefully inspect the chair frame for any damage. Repair any broken springs or joints as necessary. Replace any damaged upholstery foam or batting.
