How to Clean a Frigidaire Dishwasher Spray Arm

A clean spray arm is essential for a well-functioning Frigidaire dishwasher. Over time, food particles and mineral deposits can build up on the spray arm, blocking the water flow and preventing the dishes from getting clean. Phillips head screwdriver
Small brush or toothpick
Vinegar or dishwasher cleaner
Clean cloth

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Unplug the dishwasher. Always unplug the dishwasher before you begin working on it to prevent the risk of electrical shock.
Remove the lower rack. The lower rack is typically held in place by two or three clips. Slide the rack out of the dishwasher to remove it.
Disconnect the spray arm. The spray arm is usually attached to the bottom of the dishwasher by a single screw. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw and disconnect the spray arm.
Clean the spray arm. Use a small brush or toothpick to remove any food particles or mineral deposits from the holes in the spray arm. Rinse the spray arm with water to remove any remaining debris.
Soak the spray arm in vinegar. If the spray arm is particularly dirty, you can soak it in a solution of vinegar and water for 30 minutes to help dissolve any mineral deposits.
Rinse the spray arm. After soaking, rinse the spray arm thoroughly with water to remove any remaining vinegar or dishwasher cleaner.
Reassemble the dishwasher. Reattach the spray arm to the bottom of the dishwasher and tighten the screw. Slide the lower rack back into the dishwasher.
Plug in the dishwasher. Once the dishwasher is reassembled, plug it back in and run it on a short cycle to test the spray arm.
